My terms of delivery and payment

 I generally accept orders only in person, in writing or by email. Once confirmed by me in writing or by email the contract is binding.

While I will do my best to stick to prearranged delivery dates, for reasons beyond my control, I cannot guarantee that this will be possible.

For private customers the price agreed at the time of an order is valid, regardless of possible changes of my price list. For traders divergent conditions apply. A deposit is generally not required when an order is placed. However, for custom-made instruments, I reserve the right to request a deposit of 10 % of the instrument price when the order is placed. If instruments are to be delivered by post, the full purchase price including delivery charges, are due before the instrument is sent off. In cases where instruments are delivered directly or collected from the workshop, the full purchase price is due on the receipt of the instrument.

Where the purchaser has had no opportunity to try an instrument, it can be returned within four weeks if it does not meet the buyer’s satisfaction. In this case I will either deliver a replacement instrument, if I am able and the buyer requests this, or I will refund the instrument’s purchase price. Replacement or refund is on the condition that the instrument is returned in the same state in which it was delivered and that it shows neither damage nor traces of usage.

There is no charge for delivery within Germany. For delivery to other countries, I charge the dispatch costs according to the manner of shipping selected. Return postage is to be paid by the buyer.

All bank charges resulting from payments, especially costs for international transactions, are the buyer’s responsibility. For cash payment in foreign currencies, or payment by cheque from abroad, I reserve the right to add an additional charge to cover my bank fees.
